She’s also their first call when a PR crisis emerges, when they need media training, stakeholder outreach, government policy advice, or a strategic PR vision for their brand or key executives. 

Her years of political and arts journalism and public policy experience has put her in the forefront of her profession. Since 2008, Felicia Knight has worked with multinational corporations, local start-ups, and regional powerhouses in arenas as diverse as automobile manufacturing, workforce housing, cold storage logistics, higher education, and cultural diplomacy. 

In recent years, as social media and digital outlets have given everyone a megaphone, Crisis Communications have become a greater part of her portfolio. As more businesses, organizations, and individuals become online targets in the world of “instant outrage,” they realize they need help to regain the narrative, speak their truth, and salvage their reputations. 

Prior to 2008, she navigated a 20-year, award-winning career in broadcast journalism, after which, Felicia spent a decade in Washington, D.C. in senior communications positions in the legislative and executive branches of the federal government. As Communications Director for U.S. Senator Susan Collins, she oversaw all aspects of communications and media relations for the Senator’s personal offices in Washington and throughout the state of Maine, as well as for the committees chaired by Senator Collins. 

Felicia was then appointed Communications Director for the National Endowment for the Arts, serving under the visionary Chairman Dana Gioia. In that position, she helped create, shape, and promote national programs such as The Big Read, Poetry Out Loud, Shakespeare in American Communities, and the award-winning Operation Homecoming: Writing the Wartime Experience.
